Pyramid Model Coach

Experience working in a child care setting is required. Responsibilities: Develop and facilitate classroom training, distance and onsite professional development training, coaching and mentoring of child care providers in the Pyramid Model. This position is 40 hours per week, some night and weekend work will be required. Travel is required. Health insurance and additional great benefits. Ability to lift 25 lbs.

Other Duties:

Responsible for assisting in planning professional development opportunities for child care providers through classroom, onsite, distance, or other training, coaching or mentoring models around the Pyramid Model. Responsible for providing supportive coaching to STARS providers, helping them enhance the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth of children in their care. This position is responsible for facilitating the Montana Infant and Toddler course and the Montana Preschool course. Required to attend all mandatory trainings and meetings at a local, state and national level. This position will also attend local, state or national conferences/trainings, outreach activities, task forces and other meetings.

Requirements of the Pyramid Model Coach
1. Must be a minimum of a Level 6 on the Practitioner Registry.
2. Must have a minimum of three years of experience teaching in an early childhood program.
3. Minimum of one year leadership experience.
4. Subject to the Best Beginnings STARS to quality STARS coach qualifications and Montana Core Competencies and Self-assessment Checklist.
