Professional Development Incentive Awards (PDIA)

The Professional Development Incentive Award (formerly Merit Pay I) has been developed with the goal of improving the quality of early care and education for young children and families through high quality intentional, informal education (not for college credit).  You have the option to choose Track I (25 hours of training for $200) or Track II (50 hours for $400).  For complete details and questions, please visit www.mtecp.orgDeadline is no later than 4:00 pm on August 19, 2011.

Professional Development Incentive Award-Higher Education (formerly called Higher Education Merit Pay) participants may receive $750 for completion of a minimum of 6 credits or $250 for completion of 2-5 credits for Fall Semester 2011. This award has been developed with the goal of improving the quality of early care and education for young children and families, by promoting early childhood education college coursework, certificate and degree attainment. Participants may only apply for one of the two PDIAs and must work a minimum of 15 hours/week in a state registered group or family child care home, or a state licensed child care center, or a Montana Head Start or Tribal Head Start, or a Montana Child Care Resource and Referral Agency.  Please remember to read the complete details of the awards on www.mtecp.org under the  “What’s New” link.
